I recently revealed how this contest junkie finally won a contest, and now you get to see what the Reflect Your Youth contest is.The brains behind the campaign (the lovely and talented Chelsea) knew that our product has what it takes to differentiate our product from the rest, and she wanted to do just that. In many industries it is a widely known practice that companies use stock photos of models in their marketing materials. Since our product is so effective and has a track record for demonstrating real results, she had the vision that a real campaign with real people and real stories more effectively reflects the true power of what we have here.
Our results speak for themselves, so why not show that off?
They chose one person to represent each decade starting from the 20’s up to the 70’s. In many of our photos, we are lined up by age group. Yeah, I’m 40. There, I said it.
The trip was a bit of a whirlwind. They flew the 6 of us out to Dallas for a top-secret mission. I arrived to discover an amazing suite at the Stoneleigh Hotel in Dallas. From the moment I arrived, I felt like a princess. I didn’t even want to leave the gorgeous room.
But I had to leave the room. We had special dinner plans that night and the 6 of us couldn’t wait to get to know each other and find out what the surprise weekend would hold! We spent a lovely night with our host and new friend, Chelsea, eating great food, enjoying some wine, and getting to know each other amidst a lot of laughter. Then after a few hours of fun, I got to go back to my room again.
After a restless night of nervous sleep, we were up bright and early the next morning to get the big day started. We headed off to the studio for breakfast followed by professional hair, make up, and manis/pedis to prepare us for our professional photo and video shoots. In between shoots we spent many hours getting to know each other, getting pampered, and being completely spoiled rotten! All that was followed by a nice massage!
This day was beyond fun! It was so incredible to experience a new adventure, something I never thought I would get to do in my lifetime. But I’ll admit, without wishing the day away, I was relieved when it was over. I think we all were because we were all nervous about the video shoots. We aren’t professionals. I don’t know what I’m doing in front of a camera. I can be perfectly eloquent (ok, that might be a bit of an exaggeration,) while speaking to a human being, but when I look into a camera it all goes away. I freeze and go blank. Luckily, we had a fantastic production team that made us all feel special, talented, and graceful. Once our “work” was done, then came my absolute favorite part of the entire weekend.
We could all finally relax, and now it was time for some fun!
Nerium International rented out the Presidential Suite at Le Meridian for the 6 of us. It looked more like a royal palace than a hotel suite. They had a bartender and an open bar just for us, and we had the chance to relax with a glass of wine while we finished up some final photo shoots. This time we were no longer strangers, but a group of friends– a family– all together, and that’s what made it so great.
We finished it off with a group photo shoot.
And finally we were quite comfortable with this view.
We closed out the evening with a celebratory dinner at Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant, Five Sixty, at the top of Reunion Tower.
Words can’t describe how wonderful this weekend was. It was first class from start to finish, but I’m not surprised. Nerium International always does it in style. From the dinners, to the hotel, to the pampering, and even the swag bag, this was an experience to remember forever.
So what’s next for us?
Not much, really. Just that the 6 Reflect Your Youth Winners get to be the Faces of Nerium in the 2015 marketing campaign for our amazing products!
This is just the beginning!
