It’s your lucky day if you’re getting a little bored of reading my blogs… I have another podcast interview to share with you today!
If you’ve invested so much of your time and energy to get into dentistry that you’re in it for life, think again. It’s scary to consider walking away from this career you’ve built, but it doesn’t have to be impossible. You can safely plan a career transition or modification before you feel too stuck.
Sure, it’s still possible to diversify after you feel stuck, but why not get started early?
There are many ways we can plan ahead. Dr. David Phelps, founder of Freedom Founders, has spent years helping dental professionals create the freedom to earn passive income outside of the office.
Whether you love dental practice or not, we’d all agree that having other income options is the best insurance.
Life can be unexpected, and sometimes these career changes are forced upon us. David thought he had his life all planned out. However, after 20 years in practice, a family crisis forced him to re-evaluate the trajectory of his life. He decided to sell his dental practice to spend more time with his family. Luckily, he had that option. Starting in the early days in dental school, he diversified his dental career through successful real estate investments. He then began Freedom Founders to help other dentists find the same freedom in their lives.
David will be one of our featured guest speakers at the NEXT Dentist Career Conference!
He will share his own story– how he got started and how you can do it too. We share such a passion for helping dentists find career freedom, that he also invited Dr. Michelle Mudge-Riley and me for a fun discussion on his podcast. Go have a listen, as we discuss some of the keys to creating your own career change.
You can find the podcast on the Freedom Founders blog, iTunes, and Stitcher.
